My horse, Abishai, resembles Washington’s warhorse, Nelson, quite closely. Contrary to popular thought, Washington’s white horse, named Blue Skin, could not be used in battle as he was too skittish. Nelson, a chestnut colored horse, was one of the unsung heroes of the Revolution that Washington rode in to battle.
